Living in Silverthorne
Two homeowners associations split the neighborhood. Silverthorne Owners Association covers the 121 homes of the western phase, which is Tract 4998 units 1 through 3, recorded in August 1997. Its streets include Bluebird Circle, Falling Water Court, Moonshadow Street, Rising Star Avenue and Sunlight Street. Silverthorne II Owners Association covers the 129 homes of unit 4, recorded in June 1998. That phase takes in the eastern stretch of Evening Sky Drive, Mustang Drive, Cherokee Circle and Painted Pony Circle. Both associations are listed as managed by GM Management.
County assessor records put most houses between about 3,000 and 4,300 square feet, on lots a little over a quarter acre. The tract maps dedicated the streets to the city as public roads. Evening Sky Drive is a trailhead for the Las Llajas Canyon Trail, which links to the Rocky Peak Trail, and for the North Ridge Trail. The geologic report cited on the maps refers to the property as Marr Ranch.

The recorded tract maps name the landowner, Rancho Cortijo 250, LLC, but not the company that built the houses. On the first map, recorded in 1997, the landowner signed through its executive manager, ORA California I, LLC (managed by Olympic Realty Advisors, LLC), and its operating manager, Marr Ranch I, LLC (managed by RBF Associates, Inc.).
