What we collect, plainly stated
What you give us
If you use the contact form or sign up for updates, we receive the name, email address and message you send. They go to our inbox and are used only to reply to you and, if you signed up, to send an occasional email. We don't sell, rent or share what you send us. To unsubscribe or have your information deleted, send us a message.
To keep spam out, the forms use a short-lived security token from the site's own form service (no third-party CAPTCHA), and your browser does a brief calculation with that token before a form is sent; nothing about you goes into it. The form service briefly counts messages per connection (by IP address) to limit how many one connection can send, and uses that for nothing else. Messages are delivered to our inbox through Cloudflare's email service.
What's collected automatically
We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand anonymous, aggregate usage — which pages get read and roughly where visitors come from. It uses cookies; we see counts and trends and don't use it to identify you. We don't run advertising tags. See Google's privacy policy, or use Google's opt-out browser add-on.
Do Not Track: this site doesn't respond differently to browser Do Not Track signals. Google Analytics may collect information about your online activity over time and across different websites.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which keeps standard request logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and troubleshooting, and runs Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless page-view counter that doesn't identify you.
Services that load on our pages
Some pages load content from other services, which receive your IP address and browser information like any web request; their own privacy policies apply:
- Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics (googletagmanager.com, google-analytics.com) — usage statistics, all pages.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics (static.cloudflareinsights.com, cloudflareinsights.com) — cookieless page-view counts, all pages.
- Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com) — the site's typefaces, all pages.
- Esri (server.arcgisonline.com) — map tiles on pages with maps.
- US Census Bureau geocoder (geocoding.geo.census.gov) — on the Schools pages only, when you type an address into the school checker: the address you type is sent there to place it on the map. We don't store it, and nothing else is sent.
- CRMLS listing media (media.crmls.org) — listing photos, when shown.
Links to other sites
We link to cities, counties, school districts, HOAs, agencies, event organizers and property pages on properkey.us. Their privacy practices are their own; this policy covers only conejolife.com.
