About

Living in Paseo del Sol

The plan grouped the homes into 49 two-story buildings, 37 with three units, 11 with six and one with nine, along private lanes such as Esperanza Way, Laredo Lane and Orontes Way. Each three-unit building holds one of each of the three floor plans, which run from roughly 1,330 to 1,650 square feet with two or three bedrooms, an attached two-car garage and a private yard or terrace, and the buildings were designed in a Mediterranean style. Assessor records put the finished units at about 1,300 to 1,750 square feet.

The community was laid out around a pool and spa, a tot lot and landscaped walkways, with gated vehicle entries and footpaths out to Alamo Street, Avenida Simi and the shops next door. City Hall and the public library on Tapo Canyon Road and the senior center on Avenida Simi are a short walk west, and the Paseo del Sol Community Association looks after the shared grounds.
