The builder already had a history on this street. JBR Development Co. filed Tract 1793, the 1976 subdivision just east along Summit Avenue. The 2020 map took in a piece of that older tract, including a stretch of Denton Avenue right-of-way the city released, along with land from the 1927 Kadota Fig Farms subdivision. The community's website says the six Phase 1 houses are five-bedroom plans of about 3,180 square feet and the seven Phase 2 houses are four-bedroom plans of about 2,900 square feet, in Farmhouse and Spanish Revival styles. Lots on the recorded map run from about 7,900 to 11,400 square feet.
Summit Avenue is a public street. The Fountainwood Estates Summit Homeowners Association, registered with the state in 2022, is the community's association, and the map set aside a small detention basin for it to own. Big Springs Elementary is just south of the channel and Valley View Middle School is on Tapo Street. Houghton-Schreiber Park and Marr Ranch Open Space are both close by.
