Oak Terrace
Oak Terrace is a small planned community of 82 homes on the west side of Ventu Park Road in Newbury Park, between Newbury Road and the Stagecoach Inn Museum grounds. Its only tract map, Tract 5377, was recorded in 2009. County aerial photos show the homes going up in stages from about 2010 to 2016, which makes it one of the area's newer neighborhoods.

Living in Oak Terrace
Most of the homes are attached. They sit in three-unit buildings along the Silver Shadow Drive loop and Secret Hollow Lane, with floor plans of roughly 1,560 to 1,730 square feet. Thirteen larger homes of about 2,600 to 3,300 square feet line Iron Horse Way and part of Silver Shadow. The Oak Terrace HOA covers the whole tract and is managed by Gold Coast Association Management of Newbury Park.
The location is handy. The Ventu Park Road on-ramps to US 101 are just north, and the Stagecoach Inn Museum and Stagecoach Inn Park are a short walk south. Undeveloped oak hillside borders the homes to the southwest, but the county's fire hazard map does not put the tract in a mapped zone. Nearby public schools include EARThS Magnet School, Sequoia Middle School and Newbury Park High School.
The lay of the land
A small, newer planned community on Ventu Park Road. Most of the homes are attached, with a short row of larger detached houses, and the Stagecoach Inn Museum and the Ventu Park Road freeway interchange are both close by. The city and county hazard maps don't put the tract in a mapped fire hazard zone, but undeveloped oak hillside borders it to the southwest.
Some online maps label the streets Silver Shadow Lane and Secret Shadow Lane. This page uses the street names from the Ventura County Assessor's records: Silver Shadow Drive and Secret Hollow Lane.
