About

Living in Dutch Haven

The northern section, Tract 1478, sits west of Reino Road below Borchard Road, on Bluefield, Fallbrook and Maynard avenues, Knollwood Drive, Crown Haven Court and Danville Avenue. The southern section, Tract 1531, lies east of Reino around Lynn Road, on Rotella Street, Erinlea and La Grange avenues and courts such as Tapies. Single-story and two-story plans appear in about equal numbers. They were originally about 1,070 to 1,840 square feet, on lots of mostly 7,000 to 9,700 square feet.

There is no homeowners association. A local realtor notes wide driveways and side yards where owners keep boats and trailers, and original houses next to full remodels. Maple, Cypress and Banyan elementary schools and Newbury Park High are close by, along with Banyan, Cypress and Hickory parks. CAL FIRE's 2025 maps put much of the southern tract and the western streets in High or Very High fire hazard zones.

The lay of the land

Wide driveways and side yards leave room for boats and trailers, and original houses stand next to full remodels on most streets. Potrero Ridge and Los Vientos open space border parts of the neighborhood, and CAL FIRE maps much of it as High or Very High fire hazard.

Some realtor maps of Dutch Haven also take in later tracts nearby, such as Blackhawk Drive and the Twin Oaks courts off Fallbrook Avenue. This page covers the two 1960s tracts, 1478 and 1531.
