Living in Kelly Park
Galway Lane, Donegal Avenue, Tipperary Lane and Shamrock Court came first, on the April 1977 map. O'Leary Court, Jerome Avenue, Heather Ridge Avenue and Hays Drive followed on two maps recorded together in January 1978. Most lots are only 35 to 39 feet wide, and the maps also set aside landscape lots. The largest is a 1.88-acre hillside beyond the end of Galway Lane.
City records list the Kelly Park HOA for the tract, managed by Gold Coast Association Management. The streets are public city roads. Shopping on Newbury Road, Stagecoach Inn Park and Newbury Gateway Park are all within a short drive or walk. The south end of Donegal Avenue is a separate 14-lot tract, recorded in June 1978, that is outside the HOA.
The lay of the land
Small-lot detached homes on public lanes and cul-de-sacs, with a landscaped hillside lot along the north side. Newbury Road shopping, Stagecoach Inn Park and Newbury Gateway Park are each less than a mile away. Zoned RPD-10U, and mapped Non-Wildland on CAL FIRE's 2025 local-area hazard map.
The recorded tract maps spell the boundary street Kelley Road, but most county assessor addresses use Kelly Rd. The HOA and the original subdividing partnership both use "Kelly". This Kelly Park is a different place from the Kelley Estates area around West Kelly Road, west of Ventu Park Road.
