About

Living in Windward Shores

The neighborhood has two parts. Windward Circle, the 1972 tract, has 26 two-story homes on compact lots, mostly about 1,950 to 2,450 square feet. Topsail and Leeward circles were mapped in 1974. They form a pair of long loops reaching into the lake, lined with 74 mostly single-story homes of about 1,600 to 2,300 square feet. A few houses are larger than the original plans, and one on Topsail was rebuilt in 2010 at about 4,500 square feet.

Most lots back onto the water, and many homes have their own docks. The circles are public city streets. The Windward Shores HOA, managed by The Emmons Company, covers both tracts. Nearby schools in Conejo Valley Unified include Westlake Elementary, Colina Middle and Westlake High.
