Living in Watergate
Every unit has two bedrooms and two baths. The assessor's roll lists most at 1,131 square feet, with sizes running from about 1,075 to 1,229. The 1970 map put the grounds into one shared common lot and barred any more homes there, so the lot can hold only parking, recreation facilities and accessory buildings. A local agent's guide shows a pool and spa and reported HOA dues of about $640 a month in 2026.
The map was filed while this was still unincorporated county land, before Westlake Village became a city. The Lakeshore homes around it, on lanes such as Lake Meadow, Beachmeadow, Sailview and Harborview, were built in 1968 and 1969, so Watergate came a little later. The north end of Westlake Lake is a couple of blocks away. White Oak Elementary and Berniece Bennett Park are each about half a mile off in a straight line.
