Topsail and Leeward Circles

Topsail and Leeward circles make up the larger part of Windward Shores. The two long loops reach north from East Triunfo Canyon Road into the lake and hold 74 homes. Prudential Insurance and American-Hawaiian Steamship recorded the map as Tract 2367 in September 1974, and county records date nearly all the houses to 1976.

Most homes are single-story, about 1,600 to 2,300 square feet on lots of roughly 5,200 to 6,700 square feet, and most back onto the water. A few are larger than the original plans, and one on Topsail Circle was rebuilt in 2010 at about 4,500 square feet.

Windward Shores, Westlake Village

Windward Shores is a lakeside enclave of about 100 homes on Windward, Topsail and Leeward circles. It sits off East Triunfo Canyon Road at the southwest corner of Westlake Lake, on the Thousand Oaks side of the county line. The Westlake Village partnership of American-Hawaiian Steamship and Prudential Insurance mapped it in 1972 and 1974, and most of the homes were finished between 1973 and 1976.
