Living in Reyes Adobe
Reyes Adobe Park, at 30400 Rainbow Crest Drive, has a playground, a picnic shelter, barbecues and restrooms, and it is home to the Reyes Adobe Historical Site. José Paulino Reyes built the adobe around 1850, and the city now runs it as a museum of rancho-era life. The developers' tract maps deeded lots at this spot to Los Angeles County, two of them expressly for park purposes.
Most houses have four bedrooms and roughly 1,800 to 2,700 square feet. The larger homes and lots are in the northwest section around Penrod Drive. The streets are public, and only the Jon Dodson and Cedarhaven tract appears on the city's HOA map. Lake Lindero lies just to the west, and the Forest Cove neighborhoods begin east of Cedarhaven Drive.
