About

Living in Country Vista

The community went up in three stages from south to north. Tract 2601, on Meadowlark, Sparrowhawk and Rosehedge lanes, came first in 1978. Tract 2661, around Conifer Circle, followed in 1979. The larger Tract 2960, on Spanish-named lanes such as Via Novella and Calle de las Ovejas, was built from 1980 to 1984. Some homes share walls and others stand alone, and many are on two levels. They run from about 980 to 1,770 square feet. A set of Country Vista floor plans posted by a local agent shows five designs. Oakview (Plan A), Parkhurst (Plan B) and Ridgemont (Plan C) have two bedrooms and two-car garages, and Ridgemont is on two levels. Glencrest (Plan D) and Westridge (Plan E) are two-level plans with three bedrooms and 2½ baths, and Westridge adds a den. Lots are small, with common areas between the buildings and private interior lanes.

Country Vista HOA, which appears on the Oak Park Fire Safe Council's community list, looks after the pools, spa, tennis courts and common grounds, according to agent guides and recent listings. Dues in 2026 vary by section and unit type, from about $595 to $840 a month. Agent guides count about 200 homes, fewer than the 271 county parcels, and it is not clear whether the Conifer Circle section belongs to the association. Oak Canyon Community Park is just north, across Kanan Road.

The lay of the land

A townhome community from the late 1970s and early 1980s along Medea Creek, with attached and detached homes around shared pools and tennis courts.

Some agent pages place Country Vista inside a broader "Rolling Hills Estates" part of Oak Park. Others use Rolling Hills Estates for a separate single-family community built in the late 1980s. This page treats Country Vista as its own community.
