Living in Bent Tree

County assessor records list the homes at roughly 1,950 to 3,000 square feet. Most lots are about 5,000 to 8,700 square feet, and ten larger ones reach about 16,500. Many of the side streets are named for English towns, including Blackpool, Bath, Hastings, Portsmouth and Ulverston. The streets were dedicated to the county as public roads, so there is no gate. Agent guides report no homeowners association.

Indian Springs Park and Red Oak Elementary are just south of the neighborhood, near Rockfield Street. Both the park and Rockfield Street are trailheads for the Wistful Vista Trail. The land was carved from Tract 3803, a 397-acre master map that First City Holdings recorded for west Oak Park in December 1986.
