About

Living in Canyon Cove

Locals often call them the Canyon Cove duplexes, but the county recorded the project for condominium purposes, and all three streets are private. Assessor records put most homes at about 1,600, 1,780 or 2,000 square feet, and agent guides describe three- and four-bedroom plans. The same guides report HOA dues of roughly $620 a month, covering exterior upkeep and the common grounds.

Some homes along the back edge look out on an oak-lined creek. The tract map set aside a trail easement for the Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District, whose Canyon Cove Trail begins off Lindero Canyon Road. The Oak Park Fire Safe Council lists the Canyon Cove HOA as a Firewise USA community. Red Oak Elementary and Indian Springs Park are a short walk north on Rockfield Street.
