About

Living in Chambord & Regency Hills

Regency Hills has 147 homes of about 2,440 to 3,640 square feet on Deerbrook Road, Ellesmere Way and the short streets off them. Chambord's 168 homes are larger, about 3,075 to 3,975 square feet, on the upper loop of Deerhill Road and streets such as Alexandra Court, Bryndale Avenue, Caledonia Court and Mandeville Place. Lots on both sides are compact for the size of the houses, mostly about 6,000 to 9,500 square feet, and the upper streets back onto open hillside.

One association, the Regency Hills Neighborhood Homeowners Association, covers both sections, and the Oak Park Fire Safe Council lists it as a recognized Firewise USA community. The streets are public and not gated. Deerhill Park, on Doubletree Road at the foot of the hill, has soccer and softball fields, basketball and pickleball courts, a playground and a walking path. The Rock Ridge Trail (East) has a trailhead on Deerhill Road and links to the China Flat Trail at its north end. Brookside Elementary, Medea Creek Middle and Oak Park High, all in Oak Park Unified, are nearby.
