Living in Capri
The homes are attached townhomes on private lanes with Italian-inspired names, including Via Bensa, Taranto Way, La Vella Drive and Santo Drive. County assessor records put the units at about 1,240 to 1,920 square feet, and listings show two- and three-bedroom plans. Building started in 1990 with the phase at the corner of Lindero Canyon Road and Rockfield Street. It finished in 1993 and 1994 with the Santo Drive and Lazio Way phase.
More than one association governs Capri. The City of Thousand Oaks HOA list names Capri II for the middle phase, and agent guides also mention a Capri I. Recent listings showed different monthly dues from phase to phase. Residents share pools, tennis courts, a clubhouse and a playground. Red Oak Elementary is at the community's southeast edge, Indian Springs Park is a short walk east, and the Monaco neighborhood is next door.
