About

Living in Ridgefield

Assessor records show a consistent housing stock: 113 of the 137 houses list one of five recurring sizes between 1,718 and 2,307 square feet. The rest show larger figures, the biggest near 3,900. Most lots run from about 5,000 to 9,500 square feet, and a handful at the edges reach a quarter acre or more. Several streets end in cul-de-sacs, and open space borders the neighborhood on the east and south.

The Ridgefield Oak Park HOA, as the Oak Park Fire Safe Council lists it, looks after the common areas, and local agent guides put dues at roughly $200 a month. Deerhill Park on Doubletree Road, just to the north, has a playground, soccer and softball fields, basketball and pickleball courts, picnic tables and restrooms. Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District trails, including the Sunrise Meadow routes and Rock Ridge Trail (East), start from Doubletree Road and Sunnycrest Drive. Medea Creek Middle School, Oak Park High School and the Oak Park library are all roughly half a mile west.
