Living in Peach Hill
The name is far older than the houses. An 1895 map subdivided the Peach Hill section of Rancho Simi, and the town's elementary school stood in the Peach Hill area until it was moved downtown around 1904. Home building began with the 13-lot Peach Hill Estates in 1960, and Levitt and Sons' tract brought the first large wave in 1973 and 1976. Steeple Hill, the biggest section at 623 lots, was mapped in 1979–80 but built from 1984 to 1989. Silver Oak Lane added the newest homes in 2001.
The streets are public and ungated, and they curve around Peach Hill Park and Peach Hill Academy near Christian Barrett Drive. Monte Vista Nature Park is on the east edge along Spring Road, and Mesa Verde Middle School is just across that road. City landscape zones for Steeple Hill, Pheasant Run, Inglewood Street and Silver Oak Lane pay for entry monuments, slopes and parkways along Spring, Peach Hill and Tierra Rejada roads. In 2019 comments on council-district maps, residents described "Peach Hill/Steeple Hill" as one community.
