About

Living in Rancho Santa Rosa

It began as six units of Tract 2016, recorded in 1968 and 1969, with 201 lots of about five acres along Presilla Road, Escollera Avenue and the nearby circles. From 1971 to 1977 the same company redrew parts of those units into one- to two-acre lots (Tracts 2104 and 2412) along Barranca Road, Pradera Road, Redondo Avenue and the Los Pinos-area circles. In 1975 it turned hillside lots north of Presilla Road back into acreage. The streets were dedicated to the county, so the community is not gated.

The 1970s maps name the Rancho Santa Rosa Property Owners Association, Inc. as an easement holder. For years its clubhouse at 11701 East Las Posas Road was where the Santa Rosa Valley Municipal Advisory Council met; by 2024 the council was meeting at Santa Rosa Technology Magnet School. Camrosa County Water District signed the maps as an easement holder, and addresses use Camarillo 93012.

On this page, "Rancho Santa Rosa" means the land the Rancho Santa Rosa corporation subdivided from 1968 to 1977, plus one 1981 resubdivision of its lots. The property owners association has not published a membership boundary.
