Jade Hills

Jade Hills is the subdivision name used in local home sales for a mid-1960s section on the southwest side of Hollow Hills, where Hudspeth, Wishard and France avenues climb from Fitzgerald Road toward the foothills. It spans two county tracts recorded in 1964, 1516-1 and 1704-1, with about 285 homes, nearly all finished in 1965.

C.G.S. Investment Co., a partnership, is the owner on both maps. It signed through Guarantee Investment Co. on the first and through Cavalier Construction Co. on the second. The Tract 1516-1 section is all single-story ranch houses, while about half the homes in Tract 1704-1 have a second floor; recent home sales had three or four bedrooms. Most lots run 6,600 to 13,400 square feet, several back onto open slopes, and there is no HOA. Hollow Hills Elementary is about a quarter mile east on Gibson Avenue.
