About Mountain View
Homes are about 1,250 to 1,600 square feet, most of them two-story, on lots of about 3,400 to 4,100 square feet. Rainier, Olympus, Fuji and Denali continue the mountain names of the 1961 Moorpark Estates streets next door. A City landscaping district pays for the parkways and perimeter walls, and Chaparral Middle School and Poindexter Park are close by on Poindexter Avenue.

School attendance areas
Moorpark Unified School District
From MUSD's list of schools:
- Elementary and middle: MUSD publishes attendance areas only through its online locator
- High: Moorpark High School (The district's only comprehensive high school; MUSD publishes no high school boundary, and The High School at Moorpark College admits by application)
These come from the district's own data, not from this site. Assignment goes by address, and districts change boundaries and run choice and transfer programs. Confirm with MUSD School Locator, or check an address here.
Downtown Moorpark, Moorpark
Downtown Moorpark is the city's original town center. It runs from Charles Street and the High Street rail station south across Los Angeles Avenue to the Arroyo Simi. The townsite was mapped beside the railroad in 1900, and the area filled in over the next century, from early cottages and 1950s tract streets to condo complexes and small-lot communities built since 2000.
