Tract 1517
Tract 1517 is a 99-home pocket at the southwest corner of the Tapo area, on Samson, Hurles, Guerne and Burrell avenues and Rosalie Street, just east of Sequoia Avenue and north of Los Angeles Avenue. Lesser Development Corp. recorded it in March 1964, five years before Simi Valley became a city.

Lesser recorded two more units to the north and east in August 1964, but in 1969 most of those lots were reverted to acreage (Tract 2024) and redrawn as part of Larwin's Tract 2025. Assessor records show houses of about 1,330 and 1,580 square feet on lots of roughly 7,000 square feet, with a few enlarged since.

Santa Susana (Tapo Street area), Simi Valley
Santa Susana is the Tapo Street side of Simi Valley: the blocks from Los Angeles Avenue to Cochran Street, between Sequoia Avenue and Stearns Street, that grew up around the valley's old railroad stop, plus Larwin streets reaching the 118 west of Tapo Canyon Road. Most of its roughly 2,300 homes were mapped from 1957 to 1972 by Wright Ranch's subdividers, Hilgard and Woodvale Homes, and Larwin.
