Online maps call the eastern part of D.R. Horton's central section Walnut Grove: about 110 houses on Sweetgrass Avenue, Countrywalk Court, Glentana Street and part of Seasons Street. Three plans of about 2,980, 3,150 and 3,180 square feet were built 36 apiece, on lots of mostly 6,100 to 9,800 square feet.

Partly documented: residents and listings use this name, but official records are thin. Corrections are especially welcome.

The lots are on Tract 5182-C-2, recorded in February 2005 with D.R. Horton Los Angeles Holding Company as owner of record. First sales came in September 2005, and the first houses were finished that year. The boundary with Plum Creek is approximate, since both plan sets share Seasons Street. Streets are public and ungated; homes belong to the Big Sky Association.

Big Sky, Simi Valley

Big Sky is the master-planned community that fills Sand Canyon at Simi Valley's northern edge, north of the 118 Freeway at the top of Erringer Road. Shea Homes led the development, and the tract maps were recorded between 2003 and 2005. About 750 homes went up, most of them from 2005 to 2007, in nine production villages plus roughly 30 custom estates.
