The owners of record were Frontier Enterprises, Inc., whose president Paul E. Griffin Jr. signed the map, and two partnerships, W.H.W. Investment Co. and G.T.C. Investment Co. Paramount Engineering Co. prepared the map. Alongside the familiar Stonegate plans of about 1,040 to 1,640 square feet, this tract adds larger one- and two-story plans of about 1,760 to 1,960 square feet. Lots are mostly 6,500 to 10,400 square feet, and the streets are public.

Stonegate, Simi Valley

Stonegate is a neighborhood of about 800 single-family homes south of Royal Avenue in south-central Simi Valley, laid out along Appleton Road. The Griffin Company built the original Stonegate tract on the former Appleton ranch after the ranch was sold in 1962. The tract maps were recorded in 1963 and 1964, and most of the houses date to 1964.
