Lucera is a 65-home neighborhood at the eastern edge of Dos Vientos, on Via Encanto and Via Azul next to Via Rio. Miller Brothers Investment recorded its map, Tract 5072, in November 1999. County aerials show freshly graded lots in April 2000 and finished homes by December 2001.

About Lucera
Homes come in four main plans of about 2,300 to 2,900 square feet, on lots of roughly 7,400 to 10,200 square feet, and the streets were dedicated as public. The city lists a Lucera HOA for the tract. Despite the street name, Lucera is a different neighborhood from Villa Encanto, which is farther west.

Dos Vientos, Newbury Park
Dos Vientos is the master-planned community at the western end of Newbury Park, in the hills reached by Borchard Road. The Thousand Oaks City Council approved it in 1988 for 2,350 homes. Most were built between 1998 and 2005 by Greystone, Standard Pacific and other builders, on land held by Courtly Homes and the Operating Engineers Pension Trust. County records count about 2,210 homes.
