Trentwood is the townhome section of the Sherwood estates: a group of short courts west of the lake, off private Trentwood Drive and a short walk from the Sherwood Country Club clubhouse. County planning records call it the Trentwood Canyon Townhomes, and home listings use the name Trentwood/Sherwood.

About Trentwood
Most of the courts sit on Tract 4191-5, the fifth phase of the first estate tract, recorded in August 1993 as a single lot for condominium townhomes. Heatherbank Court is not part of that map in the county index. A 1994 county review counted 57 approved units and proposed raising the total to 75, mostly by moving in 17 home sites dropped when phase 4 of Tract 4191 was redrawn with fewer, larger lots. The plan change the county approved in June 1994 also added about 7.36 acres of neighboring Tract 4409 land to the townhome site. The assessor lists 56 units today, mostly about 2,250 to 3,760 square feet on two and three floors, and listings give build years of 1995 and 2000.

Sherwood Country Club Estates, Lake Sherwood & Hidden Valley
Sherwood Country Club Estates is the guard-gated community on the south and west sides of Lake Sherwood, in unincorporated Ventura County. Its oldest lakeside lanes were mapped in 1923. The estate tracts around Jack Nicklaus's 1989 golf course followed from 1990, subdivided by LSR Limited Partnership, later renamed Sherwood Development Company. County assessor records list about 450 homes.
