Tract 4192 (Sherwood Lake Club area)
Tract 4192 is the newer estate section on the south and southeast side of Lake Sherwood, around the Carlisle Canyon inlet and the private par-3 course Jack Nicklaus designed for the community. The Board of Supervisors approved it in May 1992 for 90 home sites on about 356 acres.

About Tract 4192 (Sherwood Lake Club area)
Its six phases were recorded from 1998 to 2005. A 2000 amendment redrew phases 3 through 6 and made room for the golf course. The clubhouse on Williamsburg Way opened as the Sherwood Lake Club in April 2006, and Caruso is reopening it as the Miramar Lake Club. The assessor lists about 100 houses, mostly 4,300 to 6,900 square feet on lots of roughly half an acre to an acre. The 1992 approval limited homes on lots 5 through 13, next to Hereford Ridge, to one story.

Sherwood Country Club Estates, Lake Sherwood & Hidden Valley
Sherwood Country Club Estates is the guard-gated community on the south and west sides of Lake Sherwood, in unincorporated Ventura County. Its oldest lakeside lanes were mapped in 1923. The estate tracts around Jack Nicklaus's 1989 golf course followed from 1990, subdivided by LSR Limited Partnership, later renamed Sherwood Development Company. County assessor records list about 450 homes.
