Tract 4191 (West Stafford Road and Ladbrook Way)
Tract 4191 is the first and most populous of the modern Sherwood estate tracts, spread over the golf-course hills west and southwest of Lake Sherwood along West Stafford Road, Ladbrook Way, Elderoak Road and their side courts. LSR Limited Partnership, whose general partner was Lake Sherwood Ranch, Inc., recorded the first lots in February 1990.

About Tract 4191 (West Stafford Road and Ladbrook Way)
Seven phases were recorded between 1990 and 2001. The July 1990 second phase alone covered about 321 acres, and David H. Murdock signed it as an owner. Phase 5 became the Trentwood townhomes, which have their own page. Phase 4 was redrawn in 1995 as Tract 4934, which cut 26 lots to nine larger ones on Ladbrook Way. The assessor lists about 180 houses, most of them 3,700 to 9,800 square feet on lots of a third of an acre to an acre and a half.

Sherwood Country Club Estates, Lake Sherwood & Hidden Valley
Sherwood Country Club Estates is the guard-gated community on the south and west sides of Lake Sherwood, in unincorporated Ventura County. Its oldest lakeside lanes were mapped in 1923. The estate tracts around Jack Nicklaus's 1989 golf course followed from 1990, subdivided by LSR Limited Partnership, later renamed Sherwood Development Company. County assessor records list about 450 homes.
