Beazer Homes Southern California recorded the 8-acre map as Tract 5100 in September 1998, and county records date every house to 1999. In the Wood Ranch Specific Plan it matches Planning Unit 63, a 6.5-acre intermediate-density site in Long Canyon Village allotted 30 homes.

Long Canyon is the fourth village of the Wood Ranch Specific Plan, a gated hillside neighborhood at the south end of Wood Ranch in Simi Valley. Its 683 homes went up from 1998 to 2004 along Long Canyon Road east of Wood Ranch Parkway: 653 on land New Urban West recorded as Tract 4583, and 30 in Beazer Homes' Laurelwood Heights (Tract 5100) on Shadow Lane.
