Hearthstone

Hearthstone is the name often used for Units 7, 13 and 14 of Tract 4583: 83 homes in the middle of the Long Canyon Garden Society village, on Culview, Hill Valley, Ashton, Mill, Crown and Napa courts, Knoll Ridge Road and Chantilly Circle. Charlemont Partners, a New Urban West partnership, recorded the maps in 1998, and most houses were finished in 1999.

In the Wood Ranch Specific Plan these units line up with Planning Units 62 and 67, where the plan's 2003 table counts 31 and 52 homes built, 83 in all. All are two-story, in five plans of about 2,780 to 3,350 square feet, on lots that typically measure around 7,700 square feet. Homes on Culview and Hill Valley courts are often sold under the Hearthstone name, though it is also used elsewhere in Long Canyon. The same plans continue onto Evergreen Court and lower Laurel Ridge Drive in Unit 8.

Long Canyon is the fourth village of the Wood Ranch Specific Plan, a gated hillside neighborhood at the south end of Wood Ranch in Simi Valley. Its 683 homes went up from 1998 to 2004 along Long Canyon Road east of Wood Ranch Parkway: 653 on land New Urban West recorded as Tract 4583, and 30 in Beazer Homes' Laurelwood Heights (Tract 5100) on Shadow Lane.
