The Ranch at Liberty Canyon

The Ranch at Liberty Canyon is a small gated enclave at the south end of the neighborhood, on a private stretch of Park Vista Road off Liberty Canyon Road. Its vesting tract map, recorded in April 2007, divides about 87 acres into ten lots, and seven large houses were finished there in 2019.

Lot 9, about 61 acres, is open space owned in common by the other lots. The 2019 houses measure about 5,150 to 5,700 square feet on the assessor roll, and six of the seven have four bedrooms. The map was prepared in 2005 at the request of West Pointe Homes; the builder of the houses is not on record. Addresses use the 91301 ZIP code, mostly with an Agoura Hills mailing city, but the tract lies in unincorporated Los Angeles County, outside the city limits.

Liberty Canyon is the east end of Agoura Hills: the streets off Liberty Canyon Road south of the 101 and Agoura Road, on the Calabasas line. Los Angeles County recorded its first tract in December 1964, on land owned by Van Nuys Savings and Loan Association, and 46 houses went up in 1965. Building continued in phases until 2019, and assessor records count about 636 homes.
