About

About Indian Hills (original 1928 subdivision)

The seven-sheet map was filed in the name of Merchants National Trust and Savings Bank of Los Angeles. It laid out narrow lots, many just 50 feet wide, on steep ground. Only a handful of houses predate 1970. About two-thirds of today's homes were built between 1978 and 1990, and infill has continued as recently as 2019. Roughly 100 parcels still have no house. Laura La Plante Drive shares its name with a silent-film star of the 1920s.
