Tract 2445 is the Park View Drive section of Chaparral Estates, next to Chaparral Park, with Larkellen Court, Aspenwood Place, Oak Meadow Place and short stretches of Oak Hills Drive and Smoke Tree Avenue. Metropolitan Development Corporation recorded the 22-acre map in February 1976, and most of its 72 houses were finished that year.

About Tract 2445

Most homes use the four plans found across Chaparral Estates, about 1,690 to 2,400 square feet, and about half are two-story. Lots mostly run 6,500 to 10,300 square feet. The map set aside a public walkway parcel and took in five lots from the older Tract 1873 next door. There is no homeowners association, and the Medea Creek trail has an entrance on Oak Hills Drive.

Chaparral Estates is a neighborhood of about 300 single-family homes in east Oak Park, in two sections: one beside Chaparral Park and Medea Creek, the other at the east end of Smoke Tree Avenue against the Sunrise Meadows open space. Metropolitan Development Corporation recorded the three tract maps in 1976 and 1978, and nearly all the houses date from 1976 to 1979.
