About

About LivingSmart Homes

Moorpark Unified withdrew from the school site in 2008, and the city approved homes there in 2010. The name comes from Pardee's LivingSmart package of energy- and water-saving features. The city's Housing Element lists the project as Smart Living and counts seven of its homes as affordable to lower-income households. Most homes are two-story plans of about 2,310 to 2,400 square feet on compact lots, with a private neighborhood pool center.

School attendance areas

Moorpark Unified School District
From MUSD's list of schools:

  • Elementary and middle: MUSD publishes attendance areas only through its online locator
  • High: Moorpark High School (The district's only comprehensive high school; MUSD publishes no high school boundary, and The High School at Moorpark College admits by application)

These come from the district's own data, not from this site. Assignment goes by address, and districts change boundaries and run choice and transfer programs. Confirm with MUSD School Locator, or check an address here.

Moorpark Highlands is a hillside community of about 680 homes on Moorpark's north side. It rises from Charles Street along Spring Road, between Walnut Canyon Road and Happy Camp Canyon Regional Park. Pardee Homes developed it and built most of its neighborhoods between 2006 and 2015. Toll Brothers built The Pinnacle, the gated estate section at the top, from 2008 into 2017.
