Westgate Estates
Westgate Estates is a 1956 subdivision of roughly half-acre lots on Strawberry Hill Road, Montgomery Road and Briar Cliff Road, just south of Janss Road and east of Moorpark Road. South Gate Development Company recorded the map in June 1956, eight years before Thousand Oaks became a city.

Central Thousand Oaks, Thousand Oaks
Central Thousand Oaks is the city's older core on both sides of Moorpark Road, from Hillcrest Drive north to around Avenida de las Flores. Its tract maps were recorded between 1956 and 2017, and about two-thirds of its roughly 2,800 homes sit on maps filed from 1960 to 1966 by subdividers such as Pacific Coast Properties, Exhibit Homes and Las Flores Homes.
