Tract 5092 (Crossroads and Milestone)
Tract 5092 is the 200-home subdivision between the 118 Freeway and Cochran Street, running east from Kadota Street most of the way to Stearns Street. WL Homes LLC recorded the 31.05-acre map in November 1999 on parts of La Placentia Tract Lots 74 to 83 and 101, covering most of Planning Unit 2 of the city's 1996 Southeast Kadota Fig Specific Plan. County aerials show the site graded in April 2000 and the houses standing by December 2001.

About Tract 5092 (Crossroads and Milestone)
The homes come in two groups: 95 of about 1,880 to 2,050 square feet on six lanes, including Aurora, Canterbury and Flagstone, sold under the name Milestone, and 105 larger homes of about 1,960 to 2,830 square feet on Monument Street, Parade and Pathway avenues and nearby courts. The map laid out private streets, and its filing abandoned the Monarch Court street dedication off Cochran that the plan had noted. County parcel maps show narrow open-space lots along Kadota Street, Cochran Street and the freeway edge, where the plan asked for a trail-lined parkway, landscaped parkways and an open strip.

Kadota Fig is the semi-rural middle of north-central Simi Valley, from Tapo Canyon Road east to Stearns Street between Alamo and Cochran streets, plus a strip south of Cochran out to Leeds Street. It grew from 1920s fig-farm acre lots, and the city counts 448 acres in the original area. Big, uneven lots, large trees and streets that often lack curbs still set the tone.
